He was predeceased by: his parents, David Vanburen and Eunice L. C. Gentry (Barnes); his wife Alta Gentry; and his brothers, James, Eddie, Denver and David Gentry.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Gentry (Vanessa) of Lindale and Tracii Gentry (Doug) of Spokane Valley, Washington; his sister Sara Bolt of Hope, Arkansas; and his grandchildren, James Vinson IV of Lindale and Rebekah Doss of Spokane, Washington. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
