Jan Childres Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on February 23, 2026, at the age of 79, Jan Childres of Lindale, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Willard and Audrey Gearner (Fewgate); her daughter Holly Ann Childres; and her sister Sandy Reagan. She is survived by: her husband Dean Childres of Lindale; her son Brian Childres (Pam) of Tyler; her siblings, George Gearner (Sherry) of Dallas, June Newsome (D. L.) of Quitman and Kay Herriage of Lewisville; and her grandchildren, Austin Childres of Moab and Karis Childres of Lindale. She is also survived by other loving family members and friends.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the First Baptist Church in Lindale.
