She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Stephens and Lela Elvira Waller (Mathis); her husband Charles "Sonny" Claudel Bateman; her children, Anthony Bateman and Teresa Watts; her siblings, Herald Franks, Wayne Franks, Russell Waller and Elaine Davis; and her grandsons, Heath and Stacy Bateman.
She is survived by: her sons, Larry Bateman (Sandra) of Lindale and Randy Bateman (Jane) of Lindale; her sister Christine Nelson of Tomball; and her grandchildren, Shannon Bateman (Christy) of Lindale, Jennifer King (Joey) of Lindale, Amanda Warrington (James) of Lindale, Anthony Watts (Courtney) of Lindale, Susan Dalton (Eric) of Georgetown, Justin Bateman (Liz) of Weatherford and Erick Watts (Ashley). She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home (206 W South St, Lindale, TX 75771). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home Chapel (206 W South St, Lindale, TX 75771).
