It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Harris of Linden, Texas, who passed away on August 18, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dorothy Harris to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Harp and Lorena Harp; her siblings, Sue Ellen, Althea, Ray, Terry, Bobby and Albert; her husband Ward C. "Smokey" Harris; her daughter Kathy Parker; her granddaughter Kristi Hulme Hargis; and her great grandchild Philip Ward Harris.
She is survived by: her son David James Harris (Peggy Harris); her grandchildren, Jeremy Harris, Keri Hulme Hitchcock and LeAnn Harris; and her great grandchildren, Kandle, Kassidy, Hailey, Hannah and Harmonie. She is also survived by 2 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the Caves Springs Cemetery Fund.
