It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kay Hampton of Linden, Texas, born in Lincoln, Texas, who passed away on January 18, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Hampton (Bob) of Linden; her parents, Andrew Heinze and Marie Heinze of Sylvan Grove, Kansas; her siblings, Richard Heinze (Betty), Leonard Heinze (Lillian) of Lincoln, Kansas, Harlan Heinze (Lois) of Sylvan Grove, Kansas and Doris Janne (Kenneth) of Wichita, Kansas; her niece Linda Shores of Haven, Kansas; her great-niece Haley Peters of Bazaar, Kansas; her nephews, Douglas Heinze, Robert Heinze of Lincoln and Richard Janne of Wichita, Kansas; and her niece Debra Heinze Minear of Lincoln, Kansas..

She is survived by: her sons, Christopher Wade Hampton and Brian Robert Hampton; her grandsons, Levi of Round Rock, Texas and Cody Hampton of Round Rock, Texas; her daughter-in-law Jennifer Hampton of Hallsville, Texas; and her close friend Rev. Larry Stier. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

In later years, this passion was expressed through "Threads of Love," where she crocheted baby layettes for charity hospitals.
