He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Olen Penny and Esther Penny; his wife Betty; his grandchildren, Adam Penny (Leanne), Leslie Meadows (Brent), Brayden Howard (Shawna), Kinsey Smith (Matthew), Kailyn Penny (A. J.), Jessie Moore (Corey), Matthew Penny (Leena) and Samantha Bryan; and his sister Merle McMinn (Dickie).

A memorial service was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Reeder-Davis Funeral Home - Linden (202 N Main St, Linden, TX 75563).
