He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles K. Steffey and LaVeda Shidler Steffey. He is survived by: his children, Daphaine Peck of Vincennes, Indiana and Steven Paul Steffey of Dallas, Texas; his siblings, Charlotte Southers of Atlanta, Sharon Southers Allen of Linden, Carolyn L. Reed of Nashville, Arkansas and Robert "Bob" Steffey of Texarkana, Arkansas; and his pet Ginger. He is also survived by extended family and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Harris Chapel Cemetery (3405 FM 161, Hughes Springs, TX 75656).
