He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Metzler and Frances Metzler; his wife Helen Metzler of Lindsay; his son Chris Metzler; and his brothers, Clarence, Leroy, Gerald, Julius and William Metzler (Ethel Metzler) of Lindsay.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Felderhoff (Ronnie Felderhoff) of Muenster and Karl (Kathy Metzler) of Era; his daughter-in-law Brenda Metzler of Lindsay; his sons, Jeff Metzler (Karen Metzler) of Bowie and Brad Metzler (Ronda Metzler) of Lindsay; and his sister Annabell Dieter (Virginia "Sweetie" Noggler) of Lindsay. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
