She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Witte and Irene Witte; her husband Wilber Thomas; her son Carl Thomas; her granddaughter Pasleigh Thomas; her brother Darwin Witte; her brother-in-law Kenneth Smith; and her nephew Darrell Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Geneva Boyett (Doug Boyett) of Houston, Texas and Darwin Troy Thomas of Livingston, Texas; her sisters, Florine Smith and Earline Ackley (Bill Ackley); and her granddaughters, Kristen Boyett, Megan Potter and Brittany Ashabranner. She is also survived by her seven great-grandchildren.
In honor of Carlene's nurturing spirit and love for nature, the family kindly requests plants in lieu of flowers—living tributes that will grow and flourish, just as her love and memories continue to do in the hearts of those who knew her.
