He is survived by: his wife Melba Hand; his daughter Vickie Rice of Livingston; his son-in-law Mark Rice; his grandson Andrei Rice; his sisters-in-law, Bobbie Haynes, Carolyn Hand and Billie Hand; and his nieces and nephews, Tammie Smith (Leonard), Mary Beth Turner (Scott), Teresa Vailes, Ronnie Haynes (Mary) and Ricky Hand (Peggy).
