With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ector Thompson (Livingston, Texas), born in Winona, Texas, who passed away on April 15, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Ector may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ector touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his wife LaVerne Thompson; his parents, Bill Thompson and Willie Mae Thompson; and his siblings, JD Thompson, Robin Thompson and Lillian Funderburg.
He is survived by: his children, Lynn Blankenship of Tyler, James Thompson (Noelle) of Livingston and Cindy Drake (Jim) of Magnolia. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
