He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Lee Simpson and Myrtle Simpson (Williams); and his daughter-in-law Laura Jean Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Simpson; his children, Sandra Lynn Bounds (Ross), Gary Dean Simpson, Laura Jean Fisher (Dana), Valerie Gay McGlothlin (Jackie), Shephen Leroy Foree (Connie) and Carrie Hope Smith; his grandchildren, Seth Alan McGlothlin, Ashley, Jared Lee McGlothlin, Tara, Audrey Gayle Anderson, Chris, Dustin Clarke Foree, Kendra Suzanne McEwen, Jacob, Kirk Daniel Smith, Katherine Hope Smith, Lisa Wilchek, Sean, Christi Burris, Shaun, Daniel Terry and Joshua Terry; his nephew Charles McGowen; and his sister Lois Ann Schmidt. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
