He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Marion and Octavia Baxter (Murphy); his son Bruce Delton Baxter; and his siblings, Eddie Baxter, Allen Baxter, Bethel Baxter, Gertrude Hall, Bertie Jones, Myrtle Purvis and Sudie Bailey.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Baxter (Teel); his son Keith Baxter; his daughter-in-law Rosalinda; his grandchildren, Gregory Baxter Jr. (Sara), Cody Baxter (Lois), Valerie Spears (Justin), John Carlo Eguia, Taylor and Kenneth Baxter; and his great grandchildren, Julianna Spears, Vanessa Spears, Chandler Eguia and Alexander Eguia. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cochran Funeral Home - Livingston (406 N Yaupon Ave, Livingston, TX 77351). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Menard Chapel Cemetery (268 Menard Chapel Rd, Livingston, TX 77351).
