Sis Virdell Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Sis Virdell of Llano, Texas is shared. Sis, born on November 9, 1930, passed away on September 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Sis will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Sis by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Sis is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Sis’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard B. Turbeville and Willie Mae Turbeville; her husband J. B. Virdell (Corkey); her sister Ramona; and her son Micky Len.
She is survived by: her sons, Mikel Virdell (Kay) and Mark Virdell (Sherrie); and her daughter-in-law Diana Virdell. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, along with many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harrell Funeral Home (307 E Sandstone St, Llano, TX 78643). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Llano City Cemetery (1410 Hickory St, Llano, TX 78643). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lutie Watkins Memorial Methodist Church (800 Wright St, Llano, TX 78643).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sis's memory to Lutie Watkins Memorial Methodist Church in Llano, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or to the charity of your choice.
