With sadness, we share the passing of Carmen Castaneda of Lockhart, Texas. Carmen, born on April 13, 1945, passed away on September 9, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfonso Cejas and Luz Cejas; her siblings, Mercedes Gomez and Jose Padilla; her children, Frank, Lupita, Armando Bravo and Carlos Castaneda; and her husbands, Juan Bravo and Roberto Castaneda.
She is survived by: her sons, Ernest and Robert Castaneda; and her brothers, Salvador and Rafael Padilla. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McCurdy Funeral Home (105 E Pecan St, Lockhart, TX 78644). A rosary was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
