We are sad to announce that on April 20, 2024, at the age of 83, Johnnie Ruth Branch of Lockhart, Texas, born in San Angelo, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Johnnie Ruth may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Choice Nixon and Minnie Pearl Shannon; and her children, Charles Branch, Abner Branch Jr. and Lezette Branch.

She is survived by : her sister Billie Reed; and her children, Paul D. Branch (Gracie) and Dorinda Branch.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Thomason Funeral Home - Lockhart (2220 S Colorado St, Lockhart, TX 78644). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
