He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Charles Alex and Gertrude Schreiber Alex of Luling; his grandparents, Henry, Annie Alex of Luling, Theodore and Anna Schreiber of Moulton, Texas.; his siblings, Imelda Bailey (Roy), Allyne Pippus (Charles), Anita and Bill; and his siblings-in-law, Annie Mae Alex and Beaver Pfefferkorn.

He is survived by : his sister Lillian Pfefferkorn of Lockhart; and his close friends, Bill Rooksberry and Amanda Mayers.
