He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Wilson McCrary and Mary Allene McCrary; his brother Randy; and his aunt Lucille. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Louise Reneau; his children, Rodney McCrary, Lyndi Campbell and Kellye Hermance; his son-in-law Travis Thompson; his grandchildren, Justin, Jordan, Jeremy, Jacob McCrary, Cayla Gustavus, Cade, Caleb, Colton Campbell and Torrin Thompson; his great grandchildren, Lauren Lindsay, Bodi, Gus Gustavus, Brylee, Emilee McCrary and Levi Campbell; his close friend Osmand Ahmed; and his cousin Gary Franks.

Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the McCurdy Funeral Home (105 E Pecan St, Lockhart, TX 78644). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
