He is survived by: his wife Deanna; his children, Linda Su Knox (Robert Spain) and William D. Knox Jr. (Juliana Fort); and his grandchildren, Emily, Nicholas, Eleanore, William, Clyde and Ernest. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
