He is survived by: his wife Beverly Chism; his daughter Quaneshia; his son-in-law Carlton Fluellen; his children, Cordero Chism and Crystal; his son-in-law Zeon Sims; his stepson Richardo Smith; his siblings, Sue Montgomery, Letha Simmons, Gerald Chism and Richard Chism; his grandchildren, Jeremiah Fluellen, Gabriel Sims and Uriel Sims; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Peters, Carl Peters (Priscilla) and Steve Peters (Shandra). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.
