He is survived by : his significant other Nanette Caldwell; his siblings, Alphonso Smith (Elva), Derrick Smith (Fredia), Terry Smith (Theressa) and Clarice Rose; his children, Gerald Smith, Kendrick Carter (Tara) and Chassenie Jefferson; and his grandchildren, Asiah Smith, Haley Smith, Mar'Khia Jefferson, Kaija Carter, Ken'Morieon Carter, Kendrick Carter, Jr. and Kingston Carter.
