He was predeceased by: his parents, Olige Hayes Stinson and Ola Mae Pittman Stinson; and his siblings, Maureen Cole, John Stinson, Sr., Ernest Stinson, Willie Lee Stinson, Douglas Charles Stinson, Grady Alvin Stinson, Sr., Dr. Bobby Joe Stinson, Ola Mae Allen and Dorothy Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Patterson; his sister Arnesia Stinson Wilson of Tyler, TX.; his daughter Shelia Brown Hicks; and his stepchildren, Linda McCoy, Charlotte Frazier and Kenneth Stinson of Dallas, TX.. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
