He was predeceased by: his parents, Muriel Samples and Neal Baxter Samples; his daughter Kimberly White; and his brothers, Alex and Greg Samples.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his daughter Whitney; his son-in-law Obed Pina; his grandchildren, Sarah White, Ayden White, Baylee Carson and Braxton Pina; and his siblings, Virginia Swanson, Gail Cooper, Joan Moldt and Bruce Samples. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
