He was predeceased by: his parents, Betsy Mae Thomas and Ira Thomas; and his siblings, Floyd Thomas, Lloyd Thomas, Johnnie Johnson, Georgia Johnson and Patsy Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Marlon Thomas of Longview, Kevin Thomas (Amber) of Longview and LaKeish Lynch (Willie) of Longview; his sisters, Carolyn Thomas and Elaine Thomas Smith (Willie); and his close friend James Wright. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rosewood Memorial Funeral Home (1601 Redmon Rd, Longview, TX 75602). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, August 20th 2025 at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery (Keithville, LA 71047).
