He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Doss and Myrtis Powell Doss; his brother O. B. Doss; and his significant other Karla Doss. He is survived by: his children, Michele Doss Simmons and Ricky Edward Doss; his children-in-law, Romey Simmons and Kay Doss; his grandchildren, Haley Simmons Hastings (Stuart), Benjamin Doss and Rachel Doss; and his great grandchildren, Hadley Hastings and Henry Hastings. He is also survived by his extended family and thought the world of his nieces and many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home (4608 Elysian Fields Rd, Marshall, TX 75672). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Downs Funeral Home Chapel (4608 Elysian Fields Rd, Marshall, TX 75672). A burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at the Algoma North Cemetery (2380 Victory Dr, Marshall, TX 75670).
