He was predeceased by : his parents, Denny Marvin Smith and Elaine Maxwell Smith; his stepbrother Derik Elrod; and his grandparents, Marvin, Constance Smith, Jake and Joy Maxwell.

He is survived by : his daughters, Jayden Lynn Smith of Prosper and Courtney Smith of Sherman; his siblings, Delaine Smith of Prosper, David Smith of Ovilla and Trace Elrod of Dallas; and his stepmother Cheryl Smith of Longview. He is also survived by nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
