It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Payton Eugene Pullen of Longview, Texas, who passed away on October 2, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Gordon Pullen and Carrie Ella Havard Pullen; and his siblings, Ruby Dell Herron and Carlton Glenn Pullen. He is survived by: his wife Charlene Pullen; his children, Randy Pullen, Mike Pullen and Sandy Pullen; his brother Wayne Pullen; and his grandchildren, Paige Simmons, Reed Pullen, Chase Pullen, Jake Pullen, Kate Pullen, Leward LaFleur, Chris Gearhart, Jennifer Belcher and Cody Stone. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McWhorter Funeral Home (1074 TX-300, Gilmer, TX 75645). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
