He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxine Echard Vanderslice and William Gilbert Knapp; his stepfather Akin Augusta Vanderslice; and his grandmother Echard. He is survived by: his wife Beverly J. Knapp; his daughter Michelle Hairford; and his grandsons, Nicholas and Colton Hairford.
