She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Hayes and Laura Hayes; her siblings, Alma J. Gonerway, Dorothy Galloway and Billy Hayes Sr.; and her children, Gregory Hayes and Marcey Hayes.
She is survived by: her daughter Shaylor McEntire; her sister Alice Hayes of Longview, Texas; her siblings-in-law, Kay Hayes and Emory Gonerway Sr.; her grandchildren, Iesha McEntire, Amber McEntire and Tamesha Polk; and her great grandchildren, Shamariie Pearson, Eversherri Pearson, Tylan Johnson and Tai'Layah Taylor. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
