He is survived by: his wife Norma Linda Hinojosa; his children, Juan Carlos "Nano" Chavez (Alexandra) of Lubbock, Andrew Chavez (Jasmine) of Petersburg, Maria, Cassandra, Priscilla, Melissa, Anabell and Elizabeth Chavez; and his siblings, Juan Chavez of Roma, Fidencio Chavez of Idalou, Steven Chavez of Amarillo, Jamie Chavez of Lorenzo, Mary Chavez of Lorenzo, Esmerelda Alcala of Lorenzo and Isabel Villarreal of Lorenzo.
