It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Jackson Rushing III (Lott, Texas), who passed away on October 26, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Colonel William Jackson Rushing II of Lott, TX and Robena Leona Rushing of Plasterco, VA.; and his brother-in-law Carroll Petrosky. He is survived by: his wife Julie Rushing of Norman, OK; his stepsons, Grayson Rushing (Hannah) of Norman, OK and Samuel Rushing (Madelyn Watkins) of Chicago, IL; his sisters, Diana Rushing (Lewis Rosenthal) of Taos, NM and Mary Petrosky of Burnet, TX; his sisters-in-law, Betsy McWhorter (David) of Brownsville, TX, Cheryl Snyder (Amelia Giles) of Van Alstyne, TX and Diana Snyder of Austin, TX; his niece Amanda Brandenburg (Lucas); his niece Emily Komarek (Jim); his nephew Chris Petrosky (Bonnie); his great-nephew Nolan of New Braunfels, TX; his nephew Troy McWhorter (Kathy); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Maddy, Lilly of Harlingen, TX and Colin McWhorter of Pflugerville, TX.; Robyn of Burnet, TX and Tobin of Salina, KS.
