She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth Owens; her sons, Ernest Smith and Jimmy Dewayne; her parents, George W. Smith and Tress Lopez Smith; and her siblings, Mary Frances Smith, Helen Smith Galvan, George W. Smith Jr. and James Edward Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Lawanda Smith (Kristi Henry) of Lubbock; her grandchildren, Katana Smith of Lubbock and Jason Smith (Rebecah Smith) of Round Rock; her great grandchildren, Tristan and Logan Smith; and her siblings, Louise Smith Garcia, Tess Smith Arbrough and Horace Smith. She is also survived by dogs- Beatrice's fur great-grandchildren.
