She was predeceased by: her parents, James Robert and Esther Langley; her husband Jim Higdon; her son Mark Andrew Higdon; her grandson Lawrence Elwood "Woody" Higdon; and her siblings, Eloise Gallaway, Eunice Covington, Bobbie Sue Damron, Ralph Langley and Neil Langley.
She is survived by: her children, James Michael Higdon, Mary Katherine Higdon, Paul Anthony Higdon, David Alan Higdon (Lizette), Leslie Ann Hackett (Brent) and Theresa Annette Daniel; her grandchildren, Paul, Isaac, Maximiliano, Ryan, Ashley, Alyssa Higdon and Grace Garza (Jacob); her children, Jordan Hackett (Kayla), Jacob Hackett (Taryn), Lindsey and Kyla Daniel; her great grandchildren, Xoe Hamby, Brooklyn, Luna Hackett and Gia Garza; and her brother James Langley.
A prayer was held on Sunday, March 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial (6025 82nd St, Lubbock, TX 79424). A celebration of life was held on Monday, March 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church (9821 Frankford Ave, Lubbock, TX 79424). A committal service was held on Monday, March 9th 2026 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park (15602 TX-493 Loop, Lubbock, TX 79423).
