He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Brown and Erma Brown. He is survived by: his daughters, Ashley Nicole Brown and Tiffany Michelle Gates (David); his wife Stacy Ann Boyd; his granddaughter Berkley Gates; and his siblings, Alton "Butch" Brown Jr. (Toni), Curtis Brown (Tracy), Bryanette Jones (Butch) and Brigitte Erickson (Earl). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial (6025 82nd St, Lubbock, TX 79424). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (2201 Broadway St, Lubbock, TX 79401). A committal service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home & Memorial Park (5740 19th St, Lubbock, TX 79407).
