He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hays and Josephine Hays; and his siblings, Dorothy, Margie, Rebecca, Judy and Jim Godwin.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Parker; his children, Debbie Richardson (Clark) of Lubbock, Brad Hays (Theresa) of Lubbock, Shane Medlock (Tanya) of Ropesville and Adam Medlock of Lubbock; his brother Bobby Hays of Lubbock; his grandchildren, Trent Richardson (Crystal), Tracy Bonds (Landon), Ashley Pedigo (Dustin), Aaron Hays (Jessie), Brooke Pollock (Nathan), Allison Estep, Chance Medlock and Payton Addison (Sam); and his great grandchildren, Holly, Melody, Simon Pedigo, Declan Richardson, Hannah, Charlie and Wesley Hays.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Southcrest Baptist Church (3801 S Loop 289, Lubbock, TX 79423). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Southcrest Baptist Church in Don's memory in lieu of flowers.
