He is survived by: his wife Pauline Calderon Chavez; his siblings, Felly Puente of Las Vegas, Lupe Chavez of Lubbock, Gloria Campos of Lubbock and Jaime Chavez (Virginia Chavez) of Arlington, TX.; and his children, Sarita Rodriguez (Joe Ray Rodriguez) of Lubbock, Patricia Chavez of Knox City, TX., Emilio Chavez Jr. of Uvalde, Dorothy Chavez of Lubbock, Eddie Chavez (Vicki) of Lubbock, Johnny Chavez (Aileen) of San Antonio and Marisol Chavez Alonzo (Brian Alonzo) of Lubbock. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
