He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Lolene Kemp Medley; his daughters, Ellen Newman of Lubbock, Texas, Mickey Johnston (Allen) of Lubbock, Texas, Amy Murray (Stuart) of Christchurch and Allison Bailey (Todd) of Round Rock, Texas; his stepsons, John Focht of Fort Worth, Texas, George Medley of Florida, Otis Medley of Canon City, Colorado and Mark Medley of San Angelo, Texas.; his great great grandchild Preceding; his parent Sarah Elam Newman; and his grandson Isaac Rankin. He was also cherished by his 9 siblings, their spouses, and a wonderful host of nephews and nieces.
