She was predeceased by : her parents, Claud Smith and Louella Smith; her daughter Tammy Dyess Coke; and her sisters, Venita Carter (Lynn), Bonnie Cook (Bill) and Kitty Sue.

She is survived by : her husband Jerold "Booth" Dyess; her son Alan Dyess (Wanda); her grandchildren, David Dyess (Tiffany), Eric Coke (Keely), Kelsey Coke Loveless and Marisa Kennedy (Thomas); her great grandchildren, Colson of Lubbock, Caden Dyess of Lubbock, Sophie Loveless of Lubbock, Jones of Lubbock, Jackman of Lubbock and Jules Kennedy of Lubbock; her sister Wanda Marks of Clovis; her sister-in-law June Dyess Chapman of Lubbock; and her friend Helen.
