Jenell Gurley Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jenell Gurley of Lubbock, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 10, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ladarell Box and Opal Box (Robinson); her husband Bill Gurley; her children, Cindy Thompson of Lubbock, Stephen Gurley (Jeanette) of Wolfforth and Kellie Moats (Sidney) of Wolfforth; her siblings, Dee Box of Sulphur Springs, Esther White (Garner) of New Home, Jerell Box (Sharon) of San Manual and Debbie Harrell of Sulphur Springs; and her grandsons, David Gurley and Jacob Gurley.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the South Plains Church of Christ (6802 Elkhart Ave, Lubbock, TX 79424). Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of the customary remembrances of flowers, the family kindly asks that you donate to the Children's Home of Lubbock, in Jenell's memory.
