With solemn reverence, we commemorate John Dee Rodgers of Lubbock, Texas, whose life came to an end on July 18, 2025 at the age of 69, leaving behind cherished memories. Though John Dee may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John Dee touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, JD Rodgers and Wren Ella Rodgers; his wife Deeanna Rodgers; his sons, Jason Rodgers and Kelly Pierce; and his brother Roy Rodgers.
He is survived by: his children, Jonnita Parks of Abilene, Texas and Jonathan Rodgers of Brownville, Texas; and his siblings, Sharon Key of Lubbock, Rovena Romans of Gallatin and Chris Rodgers of Boerne. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kornerstone Funeral Directors - Plainview (3605 SW 3rd, Plainview, TX 79072). A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at 1300 I-27, Plainview, TX 79072.
