It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy Rainey of Lubbock, Texas, born in Tahoka, Texas, who passed away on September 20, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Hamilton and Opal Hamilton (Jackson) of Tahoka, TX; her husband Jay Rainey; and her siblings, Edie Whitfield of Sherman, TX and Harold Hamilton of Greensboro, NC..
She is survived by: her children, Misty Pringle (Kevin) of Wilson, TX, Windy Shannon of Matador, TX and Sunny Tidwell (Jim) of Lubbock, TX; and her sister Vicky Tate (Bob) of Lubbock, TX. She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren; and 25 Great-Grandchildren.
Memorial donations can be made in Joy's name to the Sunset International Bible Institute.
