With sadness, we share the passing of Joyce Hancock (Lubbock, Texas). Joyce, born on November 12, 1938, passed away on September 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Forest Raymond and Ona Raymond; her siblings, Norris Raymond and Nelda Chapman; and her husband Durwood Donald Hancock.
She is survived by: her children, Dahlen Ken Hancock (Jody) and Wanda Donette Case; her grandchildren, Matthew Hancock (Kacy), Zachary Walker (Melissa), Rody Case and Allison Gold (Garret); and her great grandchild Cora Hancock.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial (6025 82nd St, Lubbock, TX 79424). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home & Memorial Park (5740 19th St, Lubbock, TX 79407).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory to Scottish Rite Hospital or Methodist Children's Home.
