We announce the death of Kathryn Gault (Lubbock, Texas), who passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 92. Kathryn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Kathryn will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Kathryn will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Kathryn’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Katie King and Rodney King; her husband Cameron Gault; and her brother David King. She is survived by: her son Drue Gault; her grandsons, Jacob (Carly), Brett (Emily) and Vance; her brother James King of Charlotte, NC; and her great grandchildren, Wells and Henry. She is also survived by niece and 2 nephews; and many other loving family members.
The family kindly suggests memorial donations be made, in honor of Kathryn, to the American Cancer Society.
