He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Hopper and Nelle Hopper. He is survived by: his wife Zula Blaylock Hopper; his children, Sonja Register (Reagan), Jason Hopper (Mauri) and Clayton Cooper (Amber); his grandchildren, Reagan Leary, Mason Leary, Graeson Register, Maecy Register, Jagger Hopper, Judge Hopper, Avery Cooper, Greyson Cooper and Jacey Cooper; and his siblings, Lynn Smith (David) and Paul Hopper. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial (6025 82nd St, Lubbock, TX 79424). A celebration of life was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
