He is survived by: his wife Debbie Chavez of Lubbock, TX.; his children, Larry Lee Chavez, Jr. and Staci Chavez Rivera; his son-in-law Joey Rivera (Lexi Chavez) of Lubbock, TX.; his granddaughters, Adalee Rivera of Lubbock, TX. and Adalyn Rivera of Lubbock, TX.; and his siblings, Alexander Chavez of Odessa, TX., Luciano Trejo, Avel Treno, Sisto Trejo of Davenport, Iowa., Hope Vasquez of Snyder, TX., Natalie Medrano of Fort Worth, TX. and Nancy Mieszkowski. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Gonzales Funeral Home (310 S Main Ave, Lamesa, TX 79331). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel (310 S Main Ave, Lamesa, TX 79331).
