She was predeceased by: her husband James Pool of Athens. She is survived by: her daughters, Jamie Lynn (Rob Luper), Jennie Corinne (Travis Smith), Joye Beth (Matt Dittelmier) and Julie Amanda (Austin Hines); her grandchildren, Elizabeth and Michael Hughes; her sister Quessie; her brother-in-law Clint Morton; her brother Aaron; her siblings-in-law, Brenda Bickley, Tom Cotten and Bill (Susan Pool); and also Layla Hughes. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; cousins and friends.
In September 2018, she returned to work part-time as an assistant to the veterans' officer at TVCC until March 2019 when the Covid-19 pandemic shut down activities.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First Baptist Church of Athens Global Missions or Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, Hope Springs Water, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, or the charity of choice.
