He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Mayer and Mildred Frances Mayer. He is survived by : his children, Maurice (Marilyn B. Lange), Gabrielle Nanette Adams, Arthur Leonard Mayer, Scott Nathan Mayer and Joshua Spencer Mayer; and his wife Etta Mayer. He is also survived by his five children and six grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Friday, April 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sanders Memorial Chapel (1420 Main St, Lubbock, TX 79401).
