He is survived by: his grandson Canaan Carey; his wife Cherryll Hall Strain; his brother Chuck Strain (A. J.) of Portales, NM; and his children, Matthew Strain (Kari) of Cashmere, WA, Stephen Strain (Jennifer) of Russellville, Arkansas, Michelle Brown of Wenachee, WA and Rachel Carey (Jared) of Lubbock, TX.
