He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Guevara and Catalina Guevara; his brother Samuel Guevara Jr.; his nephew Jason Guevara; his niece Savannah Guevara; his uncle Andres Guevara; and his nephews, Paul Jr. Castro and Adam Castro.
He is survived by: his wife Silvia Castro; his children, Charlie, Manuel Guevara and Melissa Martinez; his daughter-in-law Crystal Guevara; his grandchildren, Eli of Harley, CJ, Mckenzie, Zoe Guevara, Larkin Martinez and Abby Guevara; his siblings, Juana Rodriguez, Lucy Guevara, Jesus, Lupe, Joe, Martin, George and Flaco Guevara; and his siblings-in-law, Paul, Tom, Elidoro Castro, Rosa Martinez, Nelda Castro and Hermina Fernandez. He is also survived by 43 nieces and nephews; and 32 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Combest Family Funeral Home - Lubbock (2210 Broadway, Lubbock, TX 79401). A rosary will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (1120 52nd St, Lubbock, TX 79412). A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Englewood Cemetery (1100 N 20th St, Slaton, TX 79364).
