He was predeceased by: his parents, Ysabel Guzman and Manuel Guzman; his daughter Dolores Guzman; and his siblings, Ray Guzman, Celia Carrasco and Ruperto Guzman.
He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Manuel Guzman Jr. and Alicia Guzman; and his siblings, Rosa Pequeno and Albert Guzman. He is also survived by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial (6025 82nd St, Lubbock, TX 79424). A prayer will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Christ the King Cathedral (4011 54th St, Lubbock, TX 79413). A committal service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park (15602 TX-493 Loop, Lubbock, TX 79423).
